Ty-Heat PEEK High-temperature Cable Ties
Engineered with PEEK thermoplastic to reliably bundle and fasten wires exposed to radiation, chemicals or extreme temperatures.
Robust and durable fastening solution
ABB Installation Products’ new Ty-Heat™ high-temperature cable ties are made of polyetheretherketone (PEEK), a high-performance thermoplastic that provides exceptional mechanical strength, long life expectancy and excellent resistance to harsh environments.
Key benefits
Ordinary nylon cable ties exposed to radiation, chemicals or extreme temperatures degrade quickly and require frequent replacement. That’s why ABB engineers developed the dimensionally stable Ty-Heat single-piece cable ties, made of PEEK thermoplastic and manufactured in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico.
- Radiation resistant – Performs reliably when exposed to ionizing radiation
- Chemical resistant – Withstands exposure to aggressive chemicals
- High-temperature resistant – Performs in operating temps from -76 °F to 464 °F (-60 °C to 240 °C)
- Non-conductive construction – Completely non-metallic design safe for use in sensitive electronic and medical applications
- Low outgassing – ASTM E595 compliant
- Helps prevent contamination – Ideal for vacuum chambers essential for semiconductor processing and scientific research
- UL listed - 62275 Type 1
