CVC outdoor current and voltage combination transformers are designed for protection or metering line-to-ground circuits. Including the current and voltage transformer in one transformer body significantly simplifies installation which leads to increased installation efficiency and safety. Combination instrument transformers can be used in many applications but provide the most savings in 3-phase primary metering installations, either on a pole-mounted frame or in a pad-mounted cabinet.

For metering, the CVC is available with AccuRange® high accuracy and extended range technology for high accuracy metering over a wide load swing. The exceptional accuracy makes AccuRange current transformers ideal for maximizing revenue by preventing metering losses. The extremely wide range reduces inventory and part numbers, and is also well suited for variable load applications like renewables.

The CVC-110BRER is designed with ResiVolt™ very fast transient (VFT) resistant technology and offers improved reliability and increased safety in renewable metering and recloser applications, as well as in areas where increased line switching is present. The unit provides superior withstand capability against steep wave power network transients that are common in these applications near reclosers, inverters and other switching devices.

The CVC is available with polyurethane (PUR) or hydrophobic cycloaliphatic epoxy (HCEP) insulating material.
