ABB’s Superstrut® is an innovative metal framing system used in homes and buildings around the world. It provides structural support for data and electrical wiring and cables, plumbing, lighting and essential equipment and systems. From ceilings and walls to harnesses and trapeze structures, Superstrut is engineered to simplify installation – saving time and labor.

Superstrut offers multiple channels, configurations, depths, fittings and finishes, including GoldGalv® and SilverGalv®.

Finishes and Materials

GoldGalv® — This OSHA-safe, RoHS-compliant, premium finish for Superstrut steel channels, fittings and accessories is a combination of 0.5 mils of electroplated zinc with a gold trivalent chromium finish, producing a chemically bonded, non-porous barrier for excellent corrosion resistance.
SilverGalv® (EG) — The SilverGalv electrogalvanized finish offers superior performance over pre-galvanized strut and ensures a clean finished product that leaves no oil, grime or residue on installers’ hands.
Pre-galvanized (PG) — Zinc coating is applied by hot-dipping the steel coil at the mill prior to fabrication. Also known as “hot-dipped mill galvanized” or “mill galvanized.”
Other finishes — Superstrut steel channels, fittings and accessories are also available in hot-dipped galvanized (HDG), green urethane powder coated (GR), white urethane powder coated (WH) and PVC coated (PVC).
Other materials — In addition to steel, Superstrut products come in aluminum (AL) for lighter weight advantages and in stainless steel type 304 (SS) or type 316 (SS6) for highly corrosive environments.

Products

Standard channels

Series 1200 (12 gauge) and series 1400 (14 gauge) in 1-5/8" width and heights of 13/16", 1-5/8", 2-7/16" and 3-1/4". Configurations include solid, half slot, punched and slotted.

Concrete inserts

Feature recyclable plastic closure strip and sealing caps to eliminate the need for styrene foam filler —easier to install and better for the environment.

Fittings and brackets

Build the trapeze systems you need, including SuperMag™ magnetic fittings that help make the installer’s job easier and more efficient.

Riveted combination channels

Back-to-back and new quad strut built with a riveting process that’s more reliable than spot welding and won’t damage channel finish.

Threaded products and hardware

Universal cone nuts eliminate the inventory and installation hassles of conventional spring nuts. Fits all 15/8" channel, regardless of depth, with a simple twist of your thumb.
