MKey RFID Safety Locks
The MKey RFID mechanical solenoid safety switches provide both locking (safety lock) as well as interlocking. They are available in several versions to meet different needs. Depending on the environment where the switch will be used, different material can be chosen. For extra durability, stainless steel versions are available. They also have rotary heads which provides ease of mounting and offer different actuator entry positions.
In addition to the standard mechanical key, there is also an integrated RFID sensor as well as OSSD outputs. This makes it easy to reach the highest safety level.
Features and benefits
Continuous operation
- Easy trouble shooting: Extensive LED indication and status information reduce downtime
- Strong holding force: A holding force of up to 3000 N makes sure to keep the door closed
- Robust design: All models have a robust design. For extra protection and resistance, models are available in stainless-steel housing with IP67/IP69K and a temperature range of -25 to +40°C suitable for F&B applications.
Safety and protection
- Interlock combined with safety lock
- Easy to reach PL e / SIL3 : The dual channel interlock (mechanical and RFID) makes it easy to reach the highest safety level for the interlocking function according to EN ISO 13849 and ISO 62061.
- The locking function also reaches the highest safety level, if a fault exclusion for the mechanical breakage can be made, which is easiest to achieve with the handle accessories.
Easy to install
- Fast installation: It is practical to have both the interlock and the safety lock in the same housing since only one product needs to be installed
- Mounting plates for both MKey and the handles simplify installation
- Minimum inputs needed: Cabling is minimized when using the M12 quick-connector
Application
Used for keeping a door safely locked for machines with long stopping times (inertia) or prevent disturbances of the production process. It not only functions as safety lock but also interlocks (monitors) moveable guards (ex. doors and hatches).
