Dual Function Circuit Interrupter (DFCI)
Dual Function Circuit Interrupter (DFCI) combines both ground fault and combination arc fault (GFCI & AFCI) protection in a simple to apply and cost-effective solution. GFCI provides protection against overloads, short circuits, and ground faults preventing electrical shocks. AFCI is designed to eliminate Arc faults preventing damage or fires that can result from arcing and sparking that can arise from deteriorated wires, poor connections, and breaches in wire insulation. DFCI meets the latest National Electrical Code requirements.
ABB is introducing a new generation of residential circuit breakers powered by adaptive, machine learning arc-fault technology. ABB ReliaHome® ELITE circuit breakers use multiple intelligent algorithms to distinguish between normal household activity and true electrical hazards, delivering best-in-class protection while minimizing unnecessary interruptions.
